FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: SOUTH WALES, UK, DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

WHY YOU?

Choosing a wedding photographer in South Wales (or anywhere else for that matter) can be the most difficult decision of your wedding day (aside from which starter to have). There are so many photographers out there, how do you know who to trust? First of all, looking at my photos, do you see yourself in them? That is so important. If you do then there’s a connection there already. Now read through my website, does my personality connect with you in any way?

I also have a cool superpower (oh no, does that make me a nerd?) where I can make people feel comfortable, not just in front of the camera but in general too, it makes me a part of your day, we have a laugh together which means you trust me to take amazing photos of you and your guests at your wedding. Also I become besties with my clients in the run up to a wedding which means we get to know eachother very well and it feels like I am one of the guests, which makes for some awesome dad dancing at the end of the night from me too as well as all the laughs we have together.

DO I NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

Capturing every moment of your day is vital to the way I work and the product I offer, therefore I’m there all day from getting ready to beyond the first dance. If you’re getting ready at the same venue as you’re getting married then I can usually get all the necessary coverage by myself. If you are getting ready at different locations to each other and want both sides of the prep covered then you’ll need a second photographer. Also, due to my candid style, if you plan on a big list of group photos then having a second shooter to cover those whilst I concentrate on grabbing the important candid moments between your guests is also a good idea.

My seconds are industry professionals who I trust and will stay with us the whole day as well which means that not only are you getting full prep coverage but extra candid photos of your guests and an alternative point of view for things like the ceremony. I’ll always advise you when you enquire if you should add this to your package.

DO YOU DO HALF-DAY COVERAGE?

The short answer is no, however, I do take elopements and destination weddings, and each of those can be unique, so get in touch with your date and tell me more about your wedding plans, I can offer you a bespoke quote!

WILL YOU TAKE A DESTINATION WEDDING BOOKING?

Absolutely! Hit the contact button, tell me about your plans and I can have a zoom meeting with you about your needs!

HOW DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?

I believe that the best photography is candid and unposed. I produce my best work when I let the moments happen naturally and capture them candidly. A lot of my brides have told me they didn’t notice me even taking certain photos and they love looking back on the memories of them laughing and smiling and all their friends and family, knowing that I wasn’t intruding on the day itself by getting in the way or asking for awkward poses.

WHAT IS HYBRID WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

You can add a highlight film to your package, its usually 3-5 minutes in length and I do both photo and video as one person. HERE is an example of a wedding film.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?

I am a South Wales wedding photographer based near Swansea and Cardiff. I have lots of weddings in Herefordshire, Somerset, North Wales and even in Kent and West Midlands. I’ll travel all over the UK and even abroad!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

I recommend booking me as soon as you set the date for your wedding. I am often booked way in advance, saying that I do have key dates available. Click here to check my availability
