HEY, MY NAME IS RICHIE

I have epic dad jokes and not-so-epic dad dance moves. my dream is to travel the world, taking incredible images along the way!

I’m a passionate Spaniard who was born in London, I used to be good at playing violin and piano and songwriting, but I traded those in for holding a camera in my hand. I’m also fluent in Spanish and speak conversational Italian and French. I love the sun so much that I tried to do a runner from the UK and move to Cyprus in 2017 but ended up back in sunny Wales again, for my sins!

my style and how i work

The way I compose my photos and editing style has been shaped over the years from various influences and mentors that I have learned the trade from. My favourite genre of television has always been behind the scenes, fly on the wall documentaries and I am also keen on hard-hitting cinematic dramas. I find that you can learn so much about composition and style just from watching well put together Netflix shows or films and studying how the photography directors set up the shots (wow it turns out I am also a huge nerd!)

I also developed my style of shooting based on my own desire not to have a forced and posed photo shoot on my own wedding day. Me and my wife had a small wedding in Cyprus and I begged my photographer to just let us enjoy the day without barking poses at us and that is exactly what I do with my own couples.

When it comes to my approach to wedding photography, I believe in capturing real, authentic moments that tell the story of your day. I strive to be as unobtrusive as possible, blending into the background and capturing moments as they happen naturally. I also love to get creative with my photography, using light, composition, and other techniques to create stunning, unique images that truly capture the essence of your day.

But my approach to wedding photography isn't just about capturing beautiful images. It's also about building a relationship with my clients and making sure they feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. I believe that trust and communication are key to creating beautiful, meaningful images that you'll treasure for a lifetime.
